Whether you had an anime phase or spent your high school years actually getting laid, chances are you've seen the exaggerated facial expressions and over-the-top action sequences that have come to characterize Japanese animation. From its early days in the late 50s to current popular series like One-Piece and Bleach, many characters have influenced not only Cosplayers, but people's personal style.
That's why I took it upon myself to revisit those, awkward, awkward years and, like flipping through a high school yearbook, reached back into the recesses of my mind to think of the shows that had characters that looked memorable. And of course, the characters that made me want to buy their outfits. So here goes nothing
